I was there, teaching people how to lose in Tetris Attack and Super Mario Kart, and then handing out tee shirts to the losers .
I think everyone had a good time, Although these guys had a minor disagreement, they managed to come to an agreement.
All in all, it was a great time and I can’t wait for the next one in August. Meanwhile, I need to sleep for the next several hours.

Monday, May 12th, 2003Fatmangames Dot Com
Friday, May 9th, 2003Fatmangames is the community-driven website dedicated to video game collectors. There is even support for collection tracking (here’s mine).
It’s nice to see a site like this that is primarily community driven. Members are encouraged to contribute to the site, whether it be by helping to complete the game database, or writing a review / news story.
It’s a refreshing change of pace from your normal game site.
The Video Game Answer Man!
Thursday, May 8th, 2003Have a question about what video game system to buy? Ask the Video Game Answer Man!. He runs down the pros/cons of each system and then tells you which one you should go buy.
It’s almost like he’s taken all the thought work out of buying a game system.
The NES PC
Tuesday, May 6th, 2003Junkmachine has an article up about putting a PC inside an NES case. He even has a guide so you can do it yourself
Now, does anyone want to loan me the money, time, and electrical wizardry that it would take to actually do this and have it not look like I just taped a Nintendo case around a small PC?
Thanks, Smooth, for sending that in!
I never knew what ‘bleary’ meant until today
Tuesday, May 6th, 2003Just a word of advice: if you have a final exam on Tuesday morning 10:30, don’t stay up until 3:00 playing Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker.
I’m pretty sure my alarm went off this morning, but I couldn’t prove it.
The We Want The NES Back Foundation
Thursday, May 1st, 2003The We Want the NES Back Foundation is a site dedicated to the resurrection of the NES.
The site has (unfortunately?) closed its doors with the release of the e-Reader NES game packs (attesting it to be some small victory).
I really hate to break it to you, but not only did this site not have anything to do with the e-Cards being released, there’s no hope for Nintendo to re-release a dead system.
The 1st Church of Pac-Man
Tuesday, April 29th, 2003Like Pac-Man? A lot? So do these guys. Maybe a little too much.
Although not technically a religion like the Church of Burger Time, it still confounds me.
Roy and Marth
Thursday, April 24th, 2003I bet there’s a lot of people who played Super Smash Bros Melee and wondered who Roy and Marth were and what they were doing in a Nintendo game. Were they the programmer’s sons? Were they just hanging around Nintendo when the game was being made?
The answer may surprise you.
Then again. It might not.
Picross
Wednesday, April 23rd, 2003Picross is a game in which you have to reconstruct a picture on a grid using numeric clues. It’s a great game of logic.
A version of Picross was released on the Game Boy a few years back under the name Mario’s Picross. If you like logic type games, then you should give this game a try, but if you don’t like them, you probably won’t like this game either.
Virtual Boy
Tuesday, April 22nd, 2003I love my Virtual Boy. Astonishingly, there are people who have still
- Never heard of it or
- Know very little about it or
- Don’t own one (*gasp*).
Luckily, there are still fans that still provide information on this largely underappreciated system.
